22 Months

At the first sign of Spring David was ready to run outside!!! He would run.... then kick the water. Stop then turn around and do it again.

Whenever David sees a computer now he says, Computer Pa-Pa. This is a picture of him talking to Pa-Pa on Skype.
David loves to drive his friends around.

We went to see Baby Olivia in Houston in March. I learned my first color "Pink" this is the color of the baby's passi. I was a big helper always making sure that Oliva had the passi whether she wanted it or not. David was gental and practiced soft touches almost all of the time.

Auntie Ann and Mommy tried to honor Grandma's request for a joint picture of both of her grandchildren. With two little one's on different schedules we were not very sucessful, but we did manage to get this picture.

This was David's second trip to Moody Gardens. Minus the Macaws he loved it.

He enjoyed digging at the Beach.



The flight home was delayed for hours, but David made friends with a couple of brothers. They played football, climbed, and watched the planes.

David still loves shoes.


Overall David is doing a good job with Allie. Here he is petting her gently.

21 Months

David loves pouring!!

He helps pour everything. Poor Allie...

Cory attended his first CME confernce at Snowmass in January. The first day was georgous!!

The second day had room for improvement. It was very cold and there were wind gusts of up to 45 miles per hour. There was 9 inches of powder on the ground when we started skiing this day and it kept snowing all day. For most people (including Cory) this would have been perfect skiing conditions. For me it meant that I was up to my knees in snow. I wouldn't call if fun, but it did build confidence. By the end of the day even Cory said, "Next year - Mexico"

Cory's parents came with us and watched David. The best thing was a big picture window where David could watch snowplows, tractors, and trucks drive by. I wish we had a video to post. It was so cute when he would stand on his tip-toes arms reaching high and in his deepest voice saying "BBBBIIIIIIIGGGGGGG"

Unfortanetly there wasn't much for him to do, but he got creative...

David also invented a fun game with the closet : ) All in all it meant a lot of family time.

We came home to more snow. Of course David wanted to help!

David continues to refine his cooking skills : ) It was so cute to see him using his little spoon to stir. He just watched as the brownies dripped. He would put the spoon back in the batter and raise it up just to watch it drip again.

19 MONTHS

David likes to copy mommy in the morning. It was a little messy, but I couldn't take it away. He had so much fun!!

Miss Ginny watch little man and Cory, Mom, Dad, and I drove about an hour to go skiing. It wasn't Utah or Colorado, but we all had a good time!

David and Daddy were on pins and neddles watching the MU v. KU game.

David had a great Christmas. Unfortuatley I can't find all the pictures! This is him playing with his new "DRIILLLLL"

Uncle Travis enhanced a picture of David. David clearly appreciated the gift. He said baby and kissed the picture over and over.

Almost 18 Months old

This is my first Halloween where Mom and Dad let me go trick-or-treating. Check out my monkey suit.

I wasn't crazy about my costume at first, but once I got outside I was off.

I'm ready to go trick-or-treat. I'll drive.
After the car ride I was ready to knock on a few doors. I didn't care about candy, but I loved seeing my friends.

I couldn't pass up going to Kyle and Madison's house. I love to see the fish.

Miss Ginny went to a few houses with us before she had to go to work.

Throughout the night David roamed the sidewalk enchanted by all the kids in costumes. He would say "hi" and then walk with the group of kids. Pick up some leaves and then he was on to the next group... "hi"

All that action made David thirsty. He went straight for the cup drawer as soon as he got home.

After my snack I was ready to go again...It is clear that David didn't get the candy part of Halloween. Here he is using a sucker as a telephone. The only thing that David put into his pumpkin was a leaf : )

At almost 18 months David got his first hair cut. Isn't he such a big boy.

Oh, it's my turn...

Maybe if I stand on Daddy's lap and Mommy holds me it will be ok...

I made several trips to the pumpkin patch. My favorite part was playing in the corn patch.

I loved climbing on the pumpkins!

This trip to the pumpkin patch required 2 balls for nearly the entire visit.

We like tractors, but we like balls more.

Grandpa and Grandma Pittman came to visit. I got to help Daddy and Grandpa Dave with projects.

Shoes are fun.

I went to Columbia for Homecoming. I took Mommy and Daddy along too. Daddy thought it would be fun to share his ice cream. This is an early and therefore clean picture.

Mommy was bored so I thought I would make some faces to keep her entertained.

I had a party with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy and Daddy went on a date.

David makes up interesting games. For this game the goal is to put all the shoes outside and close the door. Other interesting games include stomping to one end of the bath tub laughing hysterically and then turning around just to do the same thing on the other side.Don't I look like a big boy playing at the mall. I love to talk to the other kids.

This is a taste of Iowa. The early focus on the presidential election is different. This is the corn poll at the State Fair. We have only met one candidate so far. Joe Biden was at the Urbandale 4th of July Parade.
